Perfection-A definition of greatness

Can greatness be defined with perfection? Or is it thru greatness perfection is defined?
To illustrate my point...let’s take the mind-set of an athlete going for a race...
To win the race he knows he need to be on the finish line ahead of others... That's his goal... to reach the finish line! Along the track are hurdles that will slow him down, do u think he will pick it up as he run and clear his way so it would be perfect race track for him and he could run without any obstacles?? No! Instead he is looking at it intently with only one thing in mind ... Run the race, overcome every hurdles.... and make it to finish line. It might be a difficult with all the obstacles but it’s what makes him a winner.. Not because he made it to the finish line but he was able to see the whole picture.. that achieving his goal is greater than the obstacles that's on his way... and those hurdles are actually what challenge him to be at his best...and winning then is much more rewarding because he achieve two things...first he made it to the finish line and second he overcome the obstacles... and that is greatness! See we don't need things to be flawless for us to reach our goal, success comes with effort and a mind-set of an athlete. Perfection comes thru greatness... when u are able to come up a better person after so much trials.. Greatness is perfecting
oneself by defying its imperfection thru effort and determination!

  1. 👌🏻 with these words I remember a quote, not of an athlete but of a warrior... which both represent same idea...
The devil whispers "you cannot withstand the storm". The warrior replies "I am the storm".
I strongly believe that what shaped an athlete or a warrior is not just their victory but their willingness to go through and conquer whatever "storm or hurdles" that's on their way... it's the experience, the journey and the determination to reach the finish line, thats what makes us a victor - the mere fact that we keep trying and keep going, we can never lose😉
